Reset your own 2FA (Two-factor authentication)
Reset your own 2FA (Two-factor authentication)
Updated over a week ago

Users now have the option to disable their 2-factor authentication directly from the web or mobile app.

This feature enables users to disable 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) via an SMS OTP (TOTP option is also available), on the user settings page.

For security reasons, this option is only available for users with AUM (Assets Under Management) below $5000.

If you have a higher AUM or currently don't have access to your phone, kindly refer to this article.

Please check the instructions below:

On the mobile app:

1) After logging in to the Bake app, go to Account (bottom-right corner).

2) On the next page, tap on Security.

3) After that, tap on the Two-Factor Authentication button.

Important: Please be aware that by opting to continue and disabling your 2FA, withdrawals will be temporarily suspended for 48 hours for security reasons.

4) On the next page you may introduce your 2FA code or click on Try another method.

5) A SMS code will be sent upon request, then you may introduce it to the designated field.

Important: Users from certain jurisdictions may need to use Email verification instead.
